Season 1
by The Seasoned Vet
In this week’s episode, we’re joined by a former Navy Corpsman who was determined to leave the service with more than what she came with! It’s hard to get anything by Terry because she pays attention to everything and isn’t shy about speaking up about it. She’s not the strong-silent type. She’s the strong-vocal type. And that’s the type that creates the path for change!Sitting down with Terry was educational and entertaining just because of how insightful she is.She may have begun her career as a single mother but she left the Navy as a corpsman turned nurse. So, it’s safe to say she left with what she came for.
This week we’re joined by a Coast Guard Unicorn. LTJG Cash has had a career full of experiences one could only hope for. From her first Commanding Officer being a Black lady to all of her mentors finding her (instead of the opposite), she has been protected and provided for at almost every turn of her Coast Guard life. LTJG Cash’s career is what happens when leaders WANT you to succeed.
In this episode, we talk to a former Army Brat/Track Star turned IT whiz kid/activist. Speaking up for herself and fighting for her right to exist are not things she knew before joining the Coast Guard. They are things she learned when her chain of command could not stop commenting on her appearance.
In this episode, we chat it up with a proud Coast Guard Yeoman and a good friend of the show. Dawn is a near-retirement veteran with a few more good deeds up her sleeve. In her career, she's managed to grab several Commendations Medals, too many Achievement medals, and a treasure box full of coins. But once you learn about her, you'll see that those accolades don't represent a fraction of what she's contributed to the CG...of course while facing unnecessary amounts of adversity. This week we sit down with a shooting star Navy Nepo baby. She maybe young in rank, but she won't be for long
In this episode, we sit down with a Coastie who went toe-to-toe with her chain of command...and stomped out racist hair policies in the process.
A warm welcome and intro to the podcast dedicated to the experience of Black Lady service members.
