We do not serve a limited God that is limited to our human abilities and perspective. In a marriage where there is an "unbelieving spouse" or a spouse who isn't actively seeking the wisdom and knowledge of God in order to strengthen and solve marital issues that arise that produce unity; the believer who actively seeks God, will and can receive the divine protection of God. That is the blessing of a covenanted minded marriage vs a contractual minded marriage.
