Paul calls the Christians of Corinth spiritual children, because they are divided in who they look up to as a Christian leader.

The people of Corinth may have the Holy Spirit, but they are not spiritual people for they still live in the mindset of the flesh says Paul.

Paul tells the people of Corinth that he was not sent by Christ to speak eloquent words of wisdom. But to preach the gospel with simple honesty, speaking only what he knew.
