The Pine Room Podcast - Ep. 13

In this week's podcast, the guys roast like a pack of hot dogs in a brutal heat wave. Nevertheless, they endure for a killer episode filled with a ton of different topics. First of which, the guys recap a weekend of work to prepare for The Pine Room season as well as some vacations and other endeavors. The massive storm that hit earlier in the week is discussed revealing what Matt believes to be the cause of the destruction. Later in the show, the guys' betting record is highlighted - showing an uptick in their success rate as Chris shifts to UFC and Jeff gets his very first win! Later, Jarrett expands on the poll that was put out for this weeks show highlighting what people believe to be the best movie of all time. Which, the group has some strong opinions on. Rounding out the show with 'This Week in History' and 'Hot Pit - Cold Mug', the guys debate everything from King Jon, Goodyear Tires, people talking in gyms, penguins, and other shenanigans.

The Pine Room Podcast - Ep. 12

Welcome back to The Pine Room! The crew hops back on set after Jub, Jarrett, Chris and Matt went on a weekend vacation to Ocean City, MD. They highlight some of the things they did, people they met, food they ate, and drinks they drank along with Soup who recounts his own time in the vacation spot. The topic of customer service/relations highlighted again. Partway through the show, the gang talks on sports, betting, and the picks they made the prior week along with corrections made to the pick-sheet that went out last Friday. Chris talks on his hot streak with NHL picks, Matt quickly talks on the Belmont Stakes, and the group debates what their own NIL deal would be. Finally, talks of super powers, rats in vests, and the Johnny Depp verdict is all thrown around with the all-too-familiar 'This Week in History' and 'Hot Pit - Cold Mug'.

Sorcerers beware! In The Pine Room this week - a smaller crew takes on topics all across the board. Back in the studio, the episode opens with some talks of the week's betting action and Chris' eye for NHL picks as well as Cooley's devastating weekend that came with the Miami Heat's loss in the NBA playoffs. Later in the show, Cooley asks Chris a question regarding hair loss and Jub relates his previous years of rocking a buzz cut to the likeness of Caillou - the children's cartoon. Jarrett hits on the Instagram poll that was taken on Sunday regarding what people think to be the most overrated band or music artist and the group weighs in on their own personal thoughts. This week in The Pine Room the group celebrates 10 episodes and welcomes not only their first in-studio guest: SBL (Swedish Basketball League) professional basketball player and former Mountaineer Chase Harler to the studio but also a long-awaited member of The Pine Room as Nick makes his podcast debut. To open the show, the guys break down the successful two weeks of live shows and send a handful of thank you's as well as highlight the Rough N' Rowdy and what they took away from the whole event. Later, everything pizza, betting, and space travel are discussed. Then, Chase Harler joins the desk and hits on topics from his days in high school, his time as a Mountaineer, and more recently his time playing basketball in Lithuania and Sweden. Jerry goes into his history; how he got started in the promoting business; a few funny stories of his youth and some in depth details about the matchups in the Rough n' Rowdy. The gang also opens up the show with a recap of the Generations Live show and some things they took away from the event; how it went; and what they plan on for the future. Later, the group discusses sports such as the NBA, The Preakness, NHL, and future picks for this upcoming Friday. NIL talks are brought up and Cooley spearheads the opinion that college athletes should be compensated for the money they bring into the school. Chris brings up his new favorite college football player and Jarrett asks a particularly interesting question about the Triple Crown in baseball and horse racing.
