Matthew Chapters 1-4

Welcome back to the table! Today we are sitting down and looking at the first of the 4 Gospels in the New Testament, Matthew. We are really excited to share and discuss Matthew with you all to begin our journey into the foundation of Christianity, and digging into WHO Jesus was and WHY he did what he did, and WHAT that means for us all. So grab your cup of coffee and/or tea, grab a chair, and let's take a look into the great book of Matthew.

Psalm 46

Come and get you "Psalm" today...sorry I had to do it, one cannot simply let a good little pun go unsaid. ANYWAYS, as always welcome back to the table, we are so glad you are here. Today we are doing our first of many episodes to come discussing a chapter in the book of Psalms. Today we chose to look at Psalm 46, and we feel this was a perfect place to start to grow yours and our own appreciation of this often quoted, yet often overlooked book of the Bible. So grab a chair, a cup of coffee, and listen in as we explore Psalm 46 together.

Ruth Part 2

Welcome back to the table as we continue our look into the book of Ruth! We are going over Chapters 3 & 4. *A little disclaimer...apparently our audio was wonky so apologies in advance if you have to crank us at times and turn us down at others. Not sure what happened!

Women of the Bible : The Book of Ruth (Pt 1)

Join us as we take a deeper look into the book of Ruth. This is a little different women of the Bible episode as Ruth has her own book in our bible. Today we are looking at a little of the background of when this story takes place, what is going on around them, and getting into the first 2 chapters of the first of only 2 books of the Bible that are named after women...and THE ONLY book of the Bible named after a ancestor of the lineage of Jesus. Grab a cup of your favorite hot beverage and take a seat at our table as we look into the life of this amazing woman and learn all we can from her life.

Let's Talk Apologetics

We are veering a little off our normal topics and Keisha and Elizabeth are going to go over a topic they are passionate about, Apologetics. We believe this is something that is relevant for such a time as this. Join us as we do an introduction into this topic, a general overview so we have a better understanding what Apologetics is, and moving froward we will go through some of the different parts of Apologetics in future shows, so we know we are doing it justice. We are excited to share this with you, and cannot wait for all the rest to follow. REFERENCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE: GotQuestions.Org ConvincingProof.org Books we mentioned: Momma Bear Apologetics by Hillary Morgan Ferrer, Mere Christianity by CS Lewis, A Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist by Frank Turk and Norman Geisler, and Talking with Your Kids about Jesus by Natasha Crain. Women of the Bible - Deborah

2025 is staring with one heck of a women in the Bible, our girl and role model, Deborah. And you cannot talk about Deborah without talking about Jael since their story is intermingled here to fulfill Gods plan in Judges 4 & 5. So grab a hot beverage (because it is COLD outside) , pull up a chair, and join us for this discussion on the first woman God appointed into a leadership role for the Israelites.

And that's a wrap 2024

Y'all, thank you for the best first year of our podcast. We are looking forward to what 2025 has in store for us. In this episode we are just 100% sitting at the table and chatting, minimally edited version of us. We are talking about what we loved about 2024 and what we think 2025 might need to look like. Where God is leading us and what we need to focus on. As always we are so grateful you all are sitting here with us, and looking forward to doing life with you all for another year.

The Search for Context - Paul said what?!

Bonus
Welcome back to the table, this is a little different because today it is just Steve from the Dig Bible Podcast (Also Elizabeth's husband) and Elizabeth taking a look into Women's roles in the church and taking a deeper look into why Paul had such a pointed opinion on women in Ephesus and in Corinth. I hope you all enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed recording it! And get ready you will start seeing these a bit more on The Mustard Seed Channel as well as The Dig Bible Podcast channel.
Season 1

Mary

We all hear about Jesus at this time of year, and rightfully so. But we wanted to highlight Mary this season for Christmas. Take a closer look into who she was, what she did, her bravery in this time, and her trust and faith in God. We are so glad you are here.

Rahab

Whew, y'all. We were looking forward to this one, Rahab is one of the best redemption stories in the Old Testament...Next to Ruth (she is coming do not worry) This is one of our favorite home in the Bible, and I love the new perspectives we can bring to her life. We hope you all enjoy as much as we did.
