Sir Geoffrey Boycott

The Long and Short of It Golf Podcast by Simon Hill

Episode notes

When it comes to the game of cricket Sir Geoffrey Boycott needs little introduction. A revered opening bat, Sir Geoff was the first England player to pass 8000 test runs. Against Australia in August 1977 - in front of a Leeds home crowd - he went on to score his 100th first class century. And, of course, we can't forget a lengthy and colourful career as a cricket commentator and pundit. However, what people might not know is Sir Geoffrey also has a long and great love for the game of golf. Simon and Dylan sat down with him to talk about how he started playing, auctioning off his golf shoes and forgotten holes - in - one.
