Today on the Logan Blackman Show we celebrate the fact that football is officially back, with the Hall of Fame game taking place between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns. So, after a quick HOF story, we take a quick look at the two starters from the game, Zach Wilson and Kellen Mond, who were both taken in the 2021 NFL Draft. With Chris Simms being on the coverage, we take a look back at his 2021 quarterback scouting report and see how it's aged from then to now. Moving from prospects to current NFL players, we try to predict the final 10 players in the NFL's top 100 players of last season, with no real surprises for who makes it in the top 10. Then, we try our hand at the 'immaculate grid' game, where you try to name NFL players, past and present, while lining them up with another part of the grid, with some varying results. Finally, we touch on the recent events surrounding Iowa and Iowa State football, with some not so fun allegations/charges being thrown at Hunter Dekkers and Aaron Blom. Enjoy the show!
Today on the Logan Blackman Show we went over all that took place this weekend, explaining why we didn't end up recording an episode for Monday. Afterwards, we take a look at the current state of the running back position in the NFL. We go over some of the most recent news surrounding the position, namely Jonathan Taylor requesting a trade, as well as what the future could hold for the group. Sticking with Jonathan Taylor's 'current' team, the Indianapolis Colts, we take a look at how 2023 fourth overall pick, Anthony Richardson is doing while also discussing how likely it is to see him start week one. Another top five pick, 2021 third overall pick Trey Lance, may open up the season as the 49ers third string quarterback. We go over the events of his career and try to decide if he still can becoming a legit starter in the NFL. Finally, we go over the recent hype surrounding Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy, as he was recently compared to Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes by Jim Harbaugh, as well as playing a game where we name power five conference teams with no state or city mentioned in their name. Today on the Logan Blackman Show we recap Messi's first official start for Inter Miami, as they beat down Atlanta United 4-0 Tuesday night. We take a look at how Messi and Sergio Busquets have changed the team, how the worst team in the league looked like one of the leagues best, and what this could mean for a potential playoff push as the season winds down. We then go over the USWNT's recent game against the Netherlands, as they came away with a 1-1 draw. We take a look at how Holland controlled most of the game, how the US can potentially improve, and why there was only one sub made throughout the entirety of the game. Moving over to college football, we discuss Colorado's recent move back to the Big 12 and conference realignment as a whole. With that, we take a look at a few experiments discussing conference realignment and how things would look if conferences were actually regional instead of, now, national. Finally, with the NFL pre-season starting next week, we go over some recent league wide topics as well as reveal Logan, Brady, and Jared's unofficially unofficial game-by-game predictions for this upcoming season. Today on the Logan Blackman Show we take a little more time to reflect on the consensus TLBS "staff" quarterback rankings. Going over some things we may not have covered on Monday's show as well as discuss how things have truly changed since 2022's list. We then take a look at some of the recently released alternate uniforms from around the NFL, with teams mixing in some throwbacks as well as making some interesting helmet choices for this upcoming season. Switching gears to soccer, we go over Lionel Messi's Inter Miami debut from last Friday. We talk about how the game went as well as his impact on and off the field here in America. With that, we take a look at some of the good and bad aspects of his debut and looking how certain people in the media are portraying some of the things that have taken place since then. Finally, we update everyone on what has been going on at the Women's World Cup, with the USWNT coming away with a nice 3-0 victory against Vietnam in game one. Enjoy the show!

We then switch gears to the 2023 Women's World Cup, where the USWNT could wind up winning their third trophy in a row, fifth all time. Moving on to football, we take some time to compare Dane Brugler's most recent NFL Draft quarterback rankings with our own, to see how two of the biggest draft 'experts' view this upcoming class. Today on the Logan Blackman Show we recap the recent run by the USMNT in the 2023 Gold Cup, which most recently saw them advance to the semi-finals, where they'll take on Panama, after a 3-2 penalty victory against Canada. We discuss our love and appreciation for goalkeeper Matt Turner as well as go over Jesus Ferreira's role in the A-team squad and if he is truly in the top striker conversation for the USMNT. We then do our first official 'pack opening' on the Logan Blackman Show, where we go through some packs that came over from Italy, trying to find the best soccer player of the lot. After that, we try our hand at some more footy tic-tac-toe, where, much like the USMNT's Gold Cup run, we attempt to go undefeated against random people from around the world. Switching over to American football, we take a look at a recently released quarterback tier list, which saw a pretty well known quarterback rated way way lower than what they probably should be. Then finally, we read through the first mock draft we have seen so far this offseason as well as take a look at the supposed top 50 quarterbacks in college football. Enjoy!
After some chaotic intros, today on the Logan Blackman Show, featuring special guest Randy Jansen, we introduce a new segment called 'Brady's Betting Buffet' (patent pending), where we take a look at some of Brady's most recent parlays while also discussing which games you should be looking at to make some money for this coming week. We then take some time to compare Iowa's 2023 football schedule to that of 2015-16, which was the season where Iowa finished the regular season undefeated and made a trip to the Rose Bowl. We go game by game, decide which schedule is in fact easier, and then discuss what Iowa's floor is for loses this for upcoming season. With Iowa playing in quite a few trophy games this season, we then take some time to come up with our Mt Rushmore of trophy games, while also discussing which rivalries also have the best names in college football. Finally, we play a game of 'guess the year,' where we list out championships from every sport during a calendar year, with the other person trying to guess which year those happened all in. Today on the Logan Blackman Show we go over the United States' most recent 6-0 win against Trinidad & Tobago, which saw them finish atop of Group A with an impressive +12 goal difference. Within that game, we saw Jesus Ferreira register his second straight hat trick, making that the third of his national team career. We go over Ferreira's impressive tournament display as well as discussing where he ranks among the best strikers for the USMNT, with the likes of Balogun and Pepi. Moving on for the USMNT, but staying in the Gold Cup, we take a look from around the rest of the tournament, while watching Mexico's game against Qatar, and analyze the United States' possible route to the final. Going to another form of football, we introduce a nice little game of guess who, where we try to name two football players based off three clues given from the other person.
