TLBS ft Brady - Football is Back, Hall of Fame Game, Best and Worst Uniforms, Wide Receiver Position Status, TLBS 'Staff Quarterback Rankings, Favorite Team Expectations

Today on the Logan Blackman Show, featuring Brady Jansen, we celebrate the fact that football is officially back! Though it's just a preseason game that featured no main starters, it's still awesome to know that the greatest game is back! With that, we watch along with the Hall of Fame game, which featured the Chicago Bears and the Houston Texans, going over the best and worst uniforms in football while also discussing whether or not this is the best time to be a wide receiver in the NFL. A half hour or so in we finally give the people what they want, revealing the third consecutive TLBS 'Staff' NFL quarterback rankings for the upcoming season! With 20 submissions, 18 different quarterbacks were mentioned, making for a very interesting top 10 once it';s all said and done! Finally, Brady and I take a look at which quarterbacks could've made the top 10 that didn't while also discussing different expectations for our respective teams going into the season! Enjoy the show!
Season 6

TLBS - Rookie Quarterback OTA Struggles, NFC North Discussion, Justin Jefferson Contract, CJ Stroud Takes, CFB Quarterback Tiers, EURO 2024 Mini Preview

Today on the Logan Blackman Show we go over why we shouldn't over react to rookie quarterbacks struggling early on in OTAs. We also give a decently in-depth preview about the NFC North, as we look at how the division has changed throughout the years, why we may need to taper the Bears expectations, and go over why the Vikings were always drafting a quarterback and were not in the market to move up in the draft for one of the top receivers. With that we take a look at Justin Jefferson's new contract, as he becomes the highest paid receiver in the league. We look at what Jefferson has done to this point in his career and discuss how high he, and other current receivers, could rank all time once their careers are done. We then go over some of CJ Stroud's latest takes regarding quarterbacks from around the league, looking at his current top five and discuss whether or not we would take either Eli Manning's career or Aaron Rodgers'. Finally, we look at ESPN's quarterback tiers for the upcoming college football season as well as give a mini preview for the upcoming Euro 2024 tournament! Enjoy!

TLBS - Phantom Menace Experience, Newly Acquired VCR, Lake of the Ozarks Trip, Insane Locals, NCAA Football 25, NFL Schedule Release

Today on the Logan Blackman Show, we take some time to go over everything that has taken place across these past couple weeks, starting off with episode one, the Phantom Menace. Against my better judgement, we went and saw this movie on back-to-back days, which saw some weirdly coincidental things take place. After that, we go over my recent VCR adventure! Spending a weekend watching the 2005 Daytona 500 all while taking part in a 12-team 27-round fantasy football draft. We then turn our attention to last weekend, where me and the boys went down to Ozark, Missouri to celebrate Andrew's bachelor party. We go over everything from driving down by myself, to having a mini panic attack on the wake board, and some insane things that took place on our Saturday night bar crawl. Finally getting to sports, we discuss the new NCAA football video game, going over wants and why this cannot be anything like Madden. After that, we take a look at the recently released schedules from around the NFL, taking a special interest in the Bills' schedule as we get into the summer. Enjoy the show!

TLBS - 2024 NFL Draft, Michael Penix Jr. Shocker, NFC North Draft, Quarterback Destination Recap, Bills Trade Back Twice, Quickfire 2025 Quarterback Class

Today on the Logan Blackman Show we celebrate the 2024 NFL Draft while also discussing why this year's edition is further proof that the NFL is truly the King of American sports. Speaking of the draft, we start off at the only place we could, with the Falcons pick of Michael Penix Jr. at eighth overall. We go over what makes this pick confusing along with going over what the Falcons could've been thinking when drafting a soon to be 24-year old quarterback after signing Kirk Cousins to a massive four-year deal. Sticking with Penix and the quarterback position, we take a look at each of the six-quarterbacks taken within the first 12-picks, discussing each fit and why the Vikings and Bears won the first round after their top selections. We then turn our attention to the latter part of the first round and discuss the Bills trading down twice with the Chiefs and Panthers. We go over why I would never trade with the Chiefs, though I do understand why they traded back. With that, we take a look at the Bills draft as a whole and discuss why we're even more confident going into next season. Finally, we take a look at every pick from the first round while also previewing the 2025 quarterback draft class. Enjoy!

TLBS - One Week Away, Kicking Things Off, JJ McCarthy Placement, Best Quarterback Landing Spots, Draft Order Quiz, More Bills Speculation

Today on the Logan Blackman Show we celebrate the 2024 NFL Draft being a week away by discussing all things surrounding the draft, though mainly focusing on who really kicks things off next Thursday. We go over which teams truly control the draft (in the early stages) as well as try and dissect the rumors regarding where Michigan's JJ McCarthy could go in the first round. With that, we take a look at the quarterback needy teams atop the draft board and rank the best landing spots for rookie quarterbacks, regardless of playing style. We then try and name every first round draft pick (starting with 2023) in order, going as far as we can until we can't name a player anymore (o/u -1.5 drafts). Finally, with Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane taking to the podium today, we continue to go over the Bills options before the upcoming draft, trying to figure out whether or not the organization will select a receiver in the first round or not. Enjoy the show!

TLBS - Weekend Update, Roast of Applebee's, Reading Reviews, Commanders Quarterback Conundrum, Giants Quarterback Decision, Bills Top Draft Options

Today on the Logan Blackman Show we go back to giving our Seinfeld style opening monolog(s), discussing everything that went on over the weekend. We go over people getting free drinks, Subway and the Masters, UFC 300, and why this last trip to Applebee's may be one of the saddest trips I can remember. With that, we discuss why it's always important to temper your expectations when walking into 'the Bee's,' all while reading some pretty funny Google reviews about the official grill + bar of the NFL. Speaking of the NFL, with the draft just over a week away, we take a look at the Washington Commanders and the New York Giants, discussing their draft plans and why the Giants potentiality trading up a couple spots for a quarterback could through a wrench into some other teams plans. Finally, we take a look at what the Buffalo Bills could do with the 28th pick in the draft, from drafting a receiver to replace the Houston bound Stefon Diggs, or go the Kansas City Chiefs route and address the defensive side of the ball. A lot of options are on the table, which makes it exciting, yet scary. Enjoy the show!

TLBS - RIP Juice, More Bills-Diggs Twitter Drama, Rose Tinted Glasses, Going to the Draft, Quarterback Purgatory, Dual Threat Quarterback Rankings

Today on the Logan Blackman Show, after saying RIP to the Juice himself, OJ Simpson, we go over some more drama between former Bills wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, and some fans on social media. We take a look at a couple of recent Tweets Diggs has either liked or posted, discussing how/why things changed so drastically between the player and the fans, all while looking at this through a completely new perspective. Moving on, after taking a look at whole will be attending the 2024 NFL Draft, we go over why (in some instances) staying home with friends and family may be the best option (i.e. Aaron Rodgers, Brady Quinn, Will Levis). Sticking with the draft, we go over why some Bears fans aren't necessarily thrilled with Caleb Williams soon coming to town while also discussing why being stuck in 'quarterback purgatory' is one of the worst places to be, which can make you lose site of (potentially) brighter days ahead. Finally, we take a look at a Tweet by @BeerlyFootball and rank the best dual threat quarterbacks in NFL history. Enjoy!

TLBS - Men's & Women's Tournament Recap, Common Sense (Should've) Prevailed, Interesting Mock Draft Review, Truth & Lies, Quarterback Needy Teams, Weirdest Draft Day Decision

Today on the Logan Blackman Show we recap both the men's and women's NCAA tournaments, which saw UConn and South Carolina claim National Championships. With that, we go over why over thinking this year's tournament(s) really could've set you up for failure as well as discussing why UConn winning their second straight title should've been the easiest decision this past March. Speaking of over thinking, we move on to the NFL, specifically the draft, we take a look at one of the more interesting mock drafts we have ever seen and discuss why it may not be 'ridiculous' as it may seem. We then take some time to discuss the possibility of the Minnesota Vikings NOT taking a quarterback in the first round and which teams could ultimately jump them in the process. Finally, we go over the weirdest thing each team could do in the first round, along with discussing which teams couldn't surprise us if they tried. Enjoy!

TLBS - March Sadness Continued(?), Stefon Diggs Finally Traded, Bills & Texans Outlook, Wide Receiver Targets, 2004 NFL Draft Quiz, Quick Final Four Preview

Today on the Logan Blackman Show we go over whether or not March Sadness continued after the Buffalo Bills finally traded star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. We go over why we thought this trade would never actually happen as well as discussing why/how this ultimately took place. With that, we take a look at each team's outlook going into the season and if the Bills are truly in a bad spot after this trade. With Diggs gone, the Bills will have to target a receiver in the draft, so we go over every prospect they could look towards as well as trying to figure out how high they could move up the board to take their preferred option. Finally, with this year's draft possibly setting a record for receivers taken in the first round, we take a quiz regarding the draft that currently holds the record and try and name every first round selection in the 2004 NFL Draft. Enjoy!

TLBS - March Sadness, Worst Bracket Ever, NFL Draft Overreactions, Top Five Pick Scenarios, Favorite Prospects, State of Women's Basketball

Today on the Logan Blackman Show we take a look back at *arguably the worst bracket ever constructed in the history of bracket making. We go over each and every horrific selection we made this year as well as discussing why it looks like UConn is gearing up to win their second straight national championship. Moving to the draft, we recap some recent pro days that took place, mainly looking at Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr.. We go over why his pro day shouldn't have surprised anyone as well as discussing why it didn't really change where most teams had him on their boards. Sticking with quarterbacks, we go over each and every scenario for each team within the top five. Looking at who could trade up, who could benefit, and why certain players could be receiving more and more hype leading up to the draft. Finally, we take some time to reveal our 'favorite' players within each position group as well as go over why women's college basketball is in the best place it's ever been. Enjoy!
