After learning about AI safety only last year, William Baird drastically altered his life. He left a farm he managed in New Zealand and moved to the UK. He's since met with MPs and helped organise protests against AI, including one outside the Bletchley Park AI summit.

In this episode, I speak to William Baird, the UK Director of PauseAI. PauseAI are a community of volunteers and local communities coordinated by a non-profit organisation that aims to mitigate the risks of AI (including the risk of human extinction).
