On August 9, 1969, actress Sharon Tate was brutally murdered, along with four others, at her home in Los Angeles by Manson Family members, Tex Watson, Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, and Linda Kasabian. The murders were part of Manson's twisted plan to incite a race war he called "Helter Skelter" but he was not actually present at the time of the killings.
