Episode notes

Fibroids, also known as Myomas, are tumors made up of the muscular tissue of the uterus. They can range in size from anywhere as small as a tiny seed to the size of a grapefruit and even much larger in some cases, and the size of the Fibroid, symptoms, and the location is really what dictates your symptoms and the best treatment option.

Fibroids are present in up to 80% of women and unfortunately, not all women are symptomatic or troubled by their fibroids.

It’s important to note that fibroids are not cancerous and do not increase the risk of uterine cancer. However, if you suspect you may have fibroids, it’s important to speak with your doctor to discuss the best course of treatment for you.
