Fifty Shades of Word Salad

One of my goals when I started this podcast was to be consistent. I think 50 episodes made when the average podcast ends at 8 is an achievement. But the first 50 were just the warm up. The next era of the show begins with 51. So join me in my recap of the first 50 and what ideas I have in mind for the episodes to come.

Vacation or Staycation? That is the question.

Vacations are a fantastic and potentially stressing time. Not only do you sometimes spend too much money but you wind up needing a vacation after the vacation. I'm a firm believer that we need to spend more time taking care of ourselves and the benefits of vacation time can often be overlooked by unintended pressures.

It's the graduation season yet again and for the first time since I graduated I've had the luxury of seeing just how much differently it is today then it was in the early 1990's. From the everyday life we once lived to caps and gowns, speeches, length of the ceremony and yes, even participation trophies.

I always wanted to have a pool, but I thought it was out of my price range. Once I realized I could do it for an affordable price, I set out to make it happen. Little did I know at the time, just how much maintenance and research I would have to do just to keep it functioning properly. This is the story of a little swimming pool and my adventures in the making it a reality.

Welcome to NH in the spring! The green I am referring to is not the wonderful grass and leaves that we see, but the green tree pollen of doom! We use it all the time. We write the address on the outside of a letter or package, put it in the mail and it just gets to where it needs to be(most times). But what is the Zip code? What is it's purpose and how did it come to be? Well in today's episode I'll discuss just that.

Video games have evolved from chessboards to pinball games, Atari to playstation and the ever popular phone apps. But what used to be a simple pay to play system, whether it's putting a quarter into a machine or buying a cartridge/disc, is now more about how much money can these gaming companies get out of you. The latest "scam" is that if you play a game, they'll give you free money. But what is it that they're really giving you or rather... taking from you?

Movie biopics are all the rage today, but they've been around for quite some time. In this episode I'll let you in on a bunch of my personal favorites and the near future of the Biopic movie.

Rock and roll may never die, but the way musicians are, you have to ask the question of what it is that drives them to their deaths. This episode I bring to light questions that we all face when we get older and why does it seem that the famous personalities keep going long after retirement age.
