Episode notes
In episode six, the Spiller marriage reaches a breaking point when Harper witnesses Lucia and Mia confronting Ethan and Cameron over unpaid money, and Ethan later finds evidence that convinces him Harper slept with Cameron — leaving both spouses suspecting the other with neither having the full picture. The Di Grasso men travel to their ancestral village only to be turned away by distant relatives, ending Bert's fantasy of a warm homecoming. In Palermo, Tanya discovers a gun in her new companion Niccolò's bag and, more alarmingly, a photo that may connect Quentin to her husband Greg. Portia learns from a drunk Jack that Quentin is nearly broke but expects new money soon, with Jack implying he does things for Quentin he doesn't want to. Lucia returns to the resort and tells Albie that only money can free her from her pimp.
This episode is the turn where suspicion and manipulation fully take hold across every storyline. The Spiller dynamic inverts — the cheating anxiety that drove Harper now consumes Ethan — and Daphne's studied indifference starts to look like a coherent strategy rather than obliviousness. For Tanya, the photo reframes everything that has happened since she arrived in Palermo as potentially coordinated, raising the stakes of her isolation. And Albie's savior complex locks into place around Lucia just as the audience has enough information to see exactly how it is being engineered.
