S1E1 Introduction to the Restoration of the Tabernacle
The Tabernacle of David Series by Todd McDonald
Episode notes
This episode introduces the theological significance of the restoration of the tabernacle of David and the focus of the Bible in presenting us a 7-day view of redemptive history, from the garden through the millennial kingdom. The Restoration of the Tabernacle of David fits into a broader view of understanding the Kingdom of God. We introduce several key ideas that frame the discussion. History can be seen as 3 seasons of 2000 years, with a final 7th day rest that is the millennial reign of Jesus as the King of the rulers of the earth. Jesus is seen as the one Messiah who is coming twice - as Messiah Son of Joseph, the suffering servant and Passover Lamb, and then as Messiah Son of David, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
