The Supremacy of Christ: The Book of Colossians- The Battle for Truth

Colossians 2:4–10 | The Battle for Truth The assassination of Charlie Kirk was not just the loss of a husband, father, and patriot—it was an attack on truth itself. His life and ministry were dedicated to the battle for truth, equipping believers to stand firm and engage the culture with conviction and grace. Paul’s words in Colossians warn us not to be deceived by plausible lies but to remain rooted in Christ, the only true foundation. In a world at war with truth, we must shine brighter than ever before.

The Supremacy of Christ: The book of Colossians- Jesus Paid it All

Colossians | The Supremacy of Christ | Jesus Paid It All (2:11–15) In Colossians 2:11–15, Paul shifts from warning against deception to announcing one of the greatest truths in all of Scripture. He tells us that though we were once dead in our sins, God made us alive in Christ. How? By canceling the record of debt that stood against us—nailing it to the cross. This is the heart of the gospel: our sins forgiven, our guilt erased, and our debt paid in full through the finished work of Jesus. In Him, we find true freedom, forgiveness, and victory. Join us as we continue our study through Colossians and rejoice in the life we now have because Jesus paid it all.

The Supremacy of Christ: The Book of Colossians- Overcoming Sin

In Colossians 3:1–11, Paul calls believers to set their minds on things above and put to death what is earthly within them. Forgiveness in Christ isn’t a license to treat grace lightly—it’s the foundation of a transformed life. In this message, we explore the battle every believer faces between the Spirit and the flesh, and how Christ empowers us to overcome sin. Paul reminds us that we have been raised with Christ, and with this new life comes a call to holiness, renewal, and the putting on of the new self. Sin always destroys, but in Christ we find freedom, hope, and victory. Join us as we open Colossians 3 together and discover how the supremacy of Christ not only secures our salvation but also equips us to walk in newness of life.

The Supremacy of Christ: The Book of Colossians- What is True Spirituality?

What does true spirituality look like? In Colossians 2:16–23, Paul warns against legalism, mysticism, and self-made religion—forms of faith that appear wise but lack power. True spirituality isn’t found in rules, visions, or emotion-driven worship; it’s found in holding fast to Christ, the Head. This message explores how the Old and New Covenants connect, why outward religion can’t change the heart, and how real growth comes only through Christ.

The Supremacy of Christ: The Book of Colossians- Putting on the Attributes of Christ

In this message, we look closely at Paul’s call in chapter 3 to “put on” the virtues that reflect the very character of Christ — compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience, and above all, love. Paul reminds us that the Christian life isn’t about merely avoiding sinful behavior, but about being clothed in the nature of Christ Himself. As we put off the old self and put on the new, we begin to walk in forgiveness, mercy, and grace toward one another — just as our Heavenly Father has shown mercy to us.

The Supremacy of Christ: The Book of Colossians- Putting on the Attributes of Christ

(Colossians 3:15–17) We’re continuing our study through the book of Colossians, exploring what it means to grow in the attributes of Christ. Paul calls us to “put on” virtues that reflect Christ Himself—compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. This week, we take that a step further. How do we actually grow in these attributes? How do we move from knowing about Christ to reflecting His character in our lives? Paul answers that question by pointing us to the Holy Spirit. As we walk in the Spirit and live in obedience to God’s Word, His divine nature begins to shape ours from the inside out. What results is transformation—and with that transformation comes peace.

The Supremacy of Christ: The Book of Colossians- God's Design for Marriage

Colossians: The Supremacy of Christ — God’s Design for Marriage (Colossians 3:18–22) In this message, we explore one of the most thought-provoking passages on marriage in all of Scripture, looking closely at Paul’s teaching in both Colossians 3 and Ephesians 5. Rather than reflecting oppressive cultural norms, Scripture presents a beautiful and redemptive vision of how husbands and wives are meant to flourish together under God’s design. We look at: • What biblical headship actually is (and what it isn’t) • Why authority and responsibility must remain together • How Christ’s love for the Church forms the model for husbands • What Scripture means by “helper” • How wives can inspire spiritual strength in their husbands • How marriage shapes us into the image of Christ

The Supremacy of Christ: The Book of Colossians- Slavery and the Bible

Colossians — The Supremacy of Christ Slavery and the Bible (Colossians 3:22) This week we return to a difficult and often-challenged passage in Paul’s household instructions—his command for slaves to obey their earthly masters. Why would Paul speak into the slave–master relationship at all? And how should Christians understand the Bible’s comments on slavery, especially in light of troubling Old Testament passages? In this message, we take an honest, thoughtful look at what Scripture actually says about slavery—what it condemns, what it regulates, and what it reveals about the human heart.

The Supremacy of Christ: The Book of Colossians- Slavery and the Bible (Part 2)

Colossians: The Supremacy of Christ Slavery and the Bible (Part 2) — Spiritual Slavery In this message, we continue our study of Paul’s instruction to Christian households by returning to the question of slavery in Scripture—specifically spiritual slavery. After briefly revisiting last week’s discussion on chattel slavery, indentured servitude, and spiritual slavery, we focus our attention on Romans 6:15–23, where Paul explains that every person is enslaved to something. According to Scripture, we are either slaves of sin, which leads to death, or slaves of obedience, which leads to righteousness.

The Supremacy of Christ: The Book of Colossians- The Power of Steadfast Prayer

Colossians: The Supremacy of Christ The Value of Steadfast Prayer | Colossians 4:2–6 In Colossians 4:2–6, Paul brings his letter to a close with practical exhortations that shape how believers pray, think, speak, and live within a hostile and confusing culture. This message centers on verse 2, where Paul calls Christians to steadfast prayer marked by watchfulness and thanksgiving. We consider what it truly means to “pray without ceasing”—not as constant verbal repetition, but as continual attentiveness and ongoing communion with God. This posture of prayer sharpens spiritual discernment, guards against deception, and anchors the believer in gratitude.
