Polymer Coupons in Flexible Risers
Since flexible risers usually have both polymer and metallic layers, monitoring the corrosion of the metal components is essential as well. Corrosion Coupons: These are small metal pieces attached to the riser to monitor the rate of corrosion over time. Galvanic Corrosion Monitoring: Monitoring the galvanic potential between the polymer and the metal layers can provide insights into corrosion effects, especially in underwater environments.
Repurpose Access Fittings for Chemical Injection, Sampling, or Plug and Abandon
Axess offers solutions for managing access fittings used in corrosion control systems. Offshore Incident with Hydraulic Equipment
In 2008 two technicians made an error when re-installing a hydraulic plug, they'd not locked the carrier plug into the correct position. Procedures were not followed and training programs had to be re-vamped. Since this incident, Axess has developed the Janus Guard for Hydraulic Retrieval which will prevent this incident from re-occurring.
