Recoderd: NOVEMBER 13TH 2025 In this episode we explore the concept of intellect in terms of recognition. This comes up in ideas around how memory functions when it comes to influence and also in the example of how land ownership has influenced human progress. We also explore the notion of ‘psyching out’ other human beings and how this intellectual game has impacted our understanding of intellectual virtue. Mentioned References: Brain in vat, vat in brain Anticipatory understanding The Lockean proviso The importance of potatoes and horses. Recorded: OCTOBER 21ST 2025. In this episode we focus on the theme of Innocence. We start by looking at the concept in legal and political terms, especially when it comes to immigration and rights. We also look at the role of innocence in relation to learning but also the responsibility it entails with reference to holding on to information. We explore the oral tradition and consider ideas like reverse learning, artificial intelligence, reading internally rather than out loud, and how music can assist in memorization. Some of the works mentioned are Robert Frost’s “Nothing Gold Can Stay”, S.E. Hinton’s book and F.F. Coppola’s film “The Outsiders”, Irene Vallejo’s “Papyrus”, Christopher McQuarrie’s “Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning and the Final Reckoning.” For more information on the Propeller Model Approach the book "Living With(in) Your Ends: An Approach to a Novel Life" is a reference for this as well as other articles by Kev.
