Chapter Nine: The Kentucky Thunder

Charlotte, North Carolina, 1934. A weathered Kentucky evangelist named Mordecai Ham erects a tabernacle on the edge of town and preaches, night after night, with a thunder that empties pews and fills altars — until a sixteen-year-old farm boy named Billy Frank Graham walks the aisle. This is the chapter on the faithfulness of the preacher no one remembers.
