Why Data Privacy Still Matters

The 28th of January was International Data Privacy Day. In this episode, we highlight that:

Privacy is not a technology issue, nor is it a legal issue, but a human issue, a fundamental human right.

Data Privacy Day reminds us why privacy matters. Data Privacy Week challenges us to ask whether we’re designing systems that respect people, or merely extracting value from them.

And maybe the most important question is this: Are we protecting privacy because we believe in it… or because we’re afraid of penalties?
