Episode notes
A crowned king. A dromedary. Trumpets echoing in the distance. And a name hidden for centuries inside forbidden grimoires: Paimon.
In this episode of Hidden Abyss, we descend into the shadowy world of the Ars Goetia and older demonological texts to uncover the origins of one of occult history’s most mysterious figures.
Why was Paimon described as a king? What secrets was he believed to reveal? Why was he associated with knowledge, philosophy, the human mind and hidden mysteries?
And perhaps most unsettling of all: how much of the Paimon we fear today truly comes from ancient texts — and how much was created by modern occultism and horror cinema?
Some legends survive because people are afraid of them.
Others survive because they promise answers.
