Greater Things
Episode notes
Jesus promised that anyone who believes in Him would do greater works than He did. But greater things aren't just handed out. Some mountains God moves for you. Some mountains God tells you to climb, because your inheritance is on top of them.
There's more ground to take. Israel spent 40 years circling one hill. Circling feels safe, but nothing ever changes. Ten spies felt like grasshoppers in their own sight. Caleb saw the same giants and at 85 years old asked for the mountain that still had giants on it.
We're not climbing in our own strength. A yoke isn't a vacation. It's work equipment built for two, and the stronger one carries the weight. Jesus climbed first and anchored the rope with His own body. We still climb, but we climb clipped in.
God defines great different than we do. A widow gave two mites and Jesus said she gave more than all of them. It was never the amount. It was the posture of the heart.
Pastor Josh walks through Deuteronomy 2, Joshua 14, Colossians 1 and Mark 12, then lands on 1 Corinthians 2:10. God has revealed them to us. That promise is for right now. Stop praying safe prayers.
