Season 3
The Daily Companion — Audio Edition No. 3 · Thursday, October 8, 2026 Good morning from Gulfport, Florida. Benedetto opens the paper: Vera the Doberman has kept the pier for eleven years and has never missed a boat. Violetta reads all eighteen Companion Signs — Talorin still holds the season, with five days left to spend the charm. Mira tells Saffron's story in full, the weather runs Reykjavík to Tokyo, and today's game is the Treat Hunt. Scratch files the Police Report (a nap lowered the volume of a whole street), Madame de Pamplemousse takes the Editorial Kennel and the Book Page — You Decided to Get an Afghan Hound earns four paws — and Bruno walks the second lap. Today's musical break: 'The Silver Gap' — from the author's own notebook. The Daily Companion is the daily newspaper of The Dog You Chose — the first horoscope ever written for dogs, from The Companion Signs by Nick A. Shishkov. Read it every morning and find your dog's sign at dogyouchose.com.

Today's lead: Gaston, a French Bulldog crossing guard whose stare stopped Beach Boulevard — and the harbor ferry held eleven minutes by a procession of ducks. Today's song: "Oh La La," an exclusive from The Dog You Chose, performed by Bruno and the Loyal Heart Band. The Book Page gives The Companion Signs five paws. dogyouchose.com
