A special edition of The Dog You Chose. Most mornings, The Daily Companion reads all eighteen Companion Signs and moves briskly along — but every sign in the wheel deserves a portrait of its own, and this series takes them one at a time, in the order of the year.
Benedetto opens the paper from Gulfport, Florida. Violetta paints the full Lunara portrait: the Caregiver of the pack, a dog running on the Pack instinct and the Rose Quartz's mood of Gentle Compassion — compassionate, nurturing, and constitutionally incapable of walking past anyone's bad day. Its motto: "Are you okay?" Its habitat: the Cozy Couch. Its warning, delivered kindly: beware of carrying everyone else's baggage. And the portrait closes with the sign's lesson — set boundaries, and keep one corner of the couch for yourself.
