John the Baptist had a clear mission, preached repentance, confronted sin—and ended up in prison. He was certain about who Jesus was, but unsettled by what Jesus permitted in his life. Rather than breaking him out, Christ gave him reassurance without changing his painful circumstances. We obsess over decoding end-time prophecies and anticipating the final crisis, yet remain deeply shaken when God allows our daily expectations to collapse. Prophetic preparation is not about predicting future timelines; it is learning to trust Christ’s character when His actions completely contradict our plans.
