"Confronted Before You Are Sent" (October 6, 2026) | SDA Sabbath School Lesson Review

Before God commissions the messenger, He confronts the messenger. Isaiah did not step forward boasting spiritual superiority; exposed before God's absolute holiness, he cried, "Woe is me! for I am undone". Prophecy is not a badge of honor to affirm our correctness or expose another’s sins. Isaiah 53 unmasks our rebellion—turning to our own way rather than God's—while pointing to the Servant crushed beneath our guilt. The acid test is whether we truly desire prophetic truth, or only welcome God’s voice when it agrees with the things we cherish.
