Stewardship collapses when churches turn giving into a spiritual metric, assigning quotas or making financial diligence the defining litmus test for leadership. Paul reframes giving as a response to grace, not institutional manipulation or commandment. Anyone can fill an offering plate while withholding compassion, integrity, forgiveness, and the servant heart of Christ. We can be faithful with God’s money yet entirely unfaithful to God’s people. The defining question of stewardship is never "How much did I give?"—it is: "Am I willing to become like the One who gave Himself for me?"
