Episode notes

(Proverbs 4:23-27) In this week's episode, God wants us to be careful about what we say and what we think. He wants us to stay focused no matter what. The enemy of God loves to cause confusion. The devil loves when we are distracted. That distracted focus is an act of disobedience and an open doorway for Satan to come in to get us out of alignment with God. Rasha is a person who deliberately actively chooses to fight against God's instructions/purpose - whether conscious or unconscious - that is disobedience. God's people must not focus on human validation but seek Him and please Him, God. The devil has a purpose and it is to get humanity in a place of disobedience which is against Jesus' strategic plan as our Savior. Jesus' prize is to be humanity's Redeemer. He loves us just that much that he was born just to die for our deliberate acts of disobedience. And yes, it hurts to be wrongfully accused, lied on, abused, mistreated, betrayed and abandoned but God says to seek to please Him not a human! We must always serve The Lord with chara - gladness. Chara is tied directly to God's charis. This chara will have you steady, unmovable, unshakable, sturdy and sure in your faith in Christ Jesus. The devil himself will not have the open doorway when we depend on God's Presence in our lives, not the presence of disobedient people in our lives. It is at this moment that true joy - euphrosyne - will take over on the inside of us. So recognize that God is good, wonderful and faithful. God is our solid, perfect purpose that will defeat the enemy so that we can complete our journey to the Land of Blessings.

SCRIPTURES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:

  • Proverbs 4:23-27 – God wants us to be careful in our thinking so that our words won't come out as lies. We must stay focused on doing everything that please God, the right things are not evil.
  • Galatians 1:10 – Never allow people to validate your life. Always please God so that you can be called a servant of Christ.
  • 1 Thessalonians 2:4 – God will judge us worthy to be trusted with The Good News when we speak how He wants us to speak. This act of obedience is not trying to please not one human in our lives; it is to please God.
  • Psalm 100:2 – Worship The Lord with joy - euphrosyne. Come before Him with happy songs!
  • Colossians 3:23-24 – Work hard to please God, with everything in you. Do not work hard at getting people to like you, approve of you or want to be around you. Remembering this will get you a reward that is only meant for those He calls obedient and His people. Christ is The Master we serve.
  • Acts 20:24 – Paul wanted us to get in a place to where serving Jesus Christ is the only focused act of obedience. We should not focus on what humans can do to us because it can never compare to the Love of God and God's Word for our lives.
  • Psalm 118:1 – We must give thanks to God as we recognize that God is good and His faithful love endures forever.

GOLDEN KEYS:

  • Let nothing distract your purpose in God.
  • Do not seek human validation for that is disobedience.
  • The devil knows that if we can get distracted then we can't please God.
