Bulldog Breakdown Week 4 (Guest O-Line Coach Spencer Region)
Episode notes
History made in Tallahassee! 🐾🔥
On this episode of The Bulldog Breakdown, Wild Wayne and T. Gooden are joined by Alabama A&M Offensive Line Coach Spencer Region to recap the Bulldogs’ historic road victory over Florida A&M — AAMU’s first win over the Rattlers since 1979 and its first-ever victory in Tallahassee.
Coach Region takes us inside the trenches and discusses the mentality of the offensive line, the importance of protecting QB1, and a dominant rushing performance led by Byron Perrilliat’s 223 yards and two touchdowns. The Bulldogs finished with 543 yards of total offense, including 283 on the ground, as the offense continued to show its balance.
The conversation also goes beyond the stat sheet as Coach Region talks about his journey from playing at Clemson to coaching, his “strain” mentality, the brotherhood inside the offensive line room, and why playing O-line requires toughness, communication and selflessness.
Then it’s on to the next challenge. With AAMU sitting at 4-1, the Bulldogs head to Mobile for the Gulf Coast Challenge against Jackson State. Coach Region explains why the FAMU win is already in the rearview mirror and previews what he expects to be a physical battle between two teams ready to meet in the trenches.
The Bulldogs made history. Now the SWAC road continues.
Saturday is game day. Monday, we break it down. 🐾
