The Ballad of John Henry (and the AI)
Season 1
John Henry And The AI (LLM really)
by Paul Schindler
A parody of the folk song about the man who beat a steam drill in a contest--an allegory about old technology beating new technology when wielded by a human being,
Parody Lyrics by Paul Schindler Vocals by The Welsh Wonder Melody: traditional American Folk Song "The Ballad of John Henry" (1870s). John Henry was about the struggle between man and machine (steam drill) for jobs in the railroad industry. Much the same today, people are trying to prove they are better than AI (the idiot LLM technology). Hint: yes people are smarter. Better search engines? No. Better creators? Yes. No LLMs were harmed in the composition and recording of this song. #folksongs #AI
