Episode notes
The Asset Forfeiture Unit was established in 1999 as part of the National Prosecuting Authority. Its mandate was to seize assets derived from crime and corruption, using the Prevention of Organised Crime Act.
It has been highly effective at recovering monies looted during the State Capture era. We managed to speak with her Adv. Ouma Rabaji-Rasethaba after her formal retirement from the position as head of the unit.
