How to Choose a Partner in Business

This week on The Andrea Engstrom Show, my brilliant co-host Brenda Stroud and I will be diving into a topic every entrepreneur faces at some point: What do you look for in a business partner? From clear communication and mutual respect to shared values like honesty, integrity, and a belief that everything is figureoutable—we're breaking it all down. Brenda and I are pulling back the curtain on how our partnerships have worked and how we both leaned into our strengths while being honest about our weaknesses. Before you jump into business with someone, it's vital to observe how they work, communicate, and collaborate. We talk about the importance of doing small projects together first, spending time in real situations, and making sure you both have the same vision of what “a job well done” looks like. Business partnerships should be built on trust, transparency, and the ability to problem-solve together. If you’ve been thinking about bringing someone into your business or teaming up on a project, you won’t want to miss this conversation. Tune in now and let’s talk real partnership! Decisions That Changed My Life

This week, we’re talking about the decisions that have the power to completely transform your life. I recently celebrated three years of sobriety, and it’s a milestone that reminds me how one bold decision, followed by consistent action, can create ripples of change in every area of your life. My co-host, Brenda Stroud, and I peel back the curtain on the tough but necessary truths about self-sabotage, recommitment, and taking ownership of your healing journey. Recommitment, we’ve found, is even more powerful than commitment. If you’ve been “fiddle-faddling” (as I like to say) on a goal, it’s time to get serious and recommit. You don’t have to wait for someone else to save you—you have the power to take massive action, but it starts with being open to what God is showing you, letting go of shame, guilt, and resentment, and taking responsibility for what you can control. Life is full of moments that call us to step into the next version of ourselves, and it’s not always easy. But with faith, determination, and a willingness to maintain your mind and soul like you would your car or home, the breakthroughs will come. Some heartache is meant for awakening, and healing begins when you focus on what you can change—your own life and path. Join us this week for an honest conversation that will encourage you to recommit to the decisions that lead to your next level of identity. This is your moment—lean in, take action, and let God guide you into the more you’re made for. Finding Your Zone of Genius - Feat. LaTonya Roberts

Operating from your zone of genius is about more than success—it’s about stepping into the calling God has for your life. But most of us stay in our zone of excellence - because it’s comfortable, and everyone else is comfortable with us right where we have been. If you’ve ever felt stuck or like you were made for more, this episode is for you. This week on the podcast, we had an inspiring conversation with LaTonya Roberts, founder of Harmony Consulting Group. LaTonya is a Fractional Chief Operations Officer who has been transforming businesses and scaling operations for over 18 years. She shared her powerful journey of leaving burnout and fear behind to step into her zone of genius and launch her own business. From scaling a business from $300k to $1.2 million in just one year to navigating the challenges of being a mom and entrepreneur, her story is full of insights, faith, and bold action. Join us as we dive into surrendering fear, leaning into faith, and building a life on our own terms. Tune in now, and be inspired to take bold steps toward your own zone of genius! As women entrepreneurs, it’s easy to stay in our zone of excellence because it feels safe and familiar, but staying there too long can lead to burnout and hold us back from the “more” we’re created for. Our Challenge for You Today: This week, ask yourself, “how can I fire myself from some of the roles in my company?” Write out the tasks that must happen in your business to make it successful. Load it into ChatGPT and ask, “as the CEO what are some tasks that I should be doing, and what are the tasks that I can ask someone else to do, and what is that role?” ChatGPT will tell you exactly what to do! Overcoming Analysis Paralysis

One of the most common things I hear from women entrepreneurs is that they feel like they’re stuck in “analysis paralysis.” In this episode of the Andrea Engstrom show, Brenda and Andrea talk about what to do when you feel stuck, how to be decisive, and the importance of taking bold action. Why is it so important to be decisive as an entrepreneur? Opportunity cost is real. If you have an idea, sitting on it for too long causes you to lose momentum, and you may never start. If you wait to do something that will earn you money year over year, you’re leaving that money on the table each year you wait. Feeling stuck? Our Challenge for You Today: One of the best ways to gain confidence in taking bold action is to know WHO you can reach out to if you feel stuck. Find your people! One of the best ways to do this is to show up to workshops and events, turn on your screen and be encouraging to others. It’s magnetic magic when you participate at a high level. Be the one who interacts, and reaches out to others. Get Support If you want support on your journey to grow your business, register for my free workshop for Women Entrepreneurs.
