The 42cast Episode 98: Get to Know Your Doctor Part Two – Patrick Troughton
Episode notes
We continue our series of episodes discussing each Doctor. This time we talk about the character’s second incarnation, Patrick Troughton. We discuss the first regeneration and why it worked. We talk about whether he or William Hartnell created what we now think of as Doctor Who. We also discuss the various monsters that debuted in this era. We also focus on the Cybermen and why they have so many stories in this period and discuss the Dalek stories, which were going through a renaissance at this time. We also talk about our favorite stories and companions before discussing the advent of the Brigadier and UNIT.
In the interests of conserving time, there is no five-minute controversy this week.
This week Eric, Anthony, and Mike join the cast.
