Episode notes
When humans finally begin living in space, who gets to tell the story?
In this episode of the 0g-SPOT Podcast, Eric and Alicia sit down with veteran space journalist, filmmaker, and documentarian Dave Brody to explore how sex, intimacy, reproduction, and even adult content may shape humanity's future beyond Earth.
After decades covering the space industry, Dave brings a unique perspective on why conversations about sex in space have remained taboo, how commercial spaceflight could change that, and why the public narrative matters just as much as the science.
Together they discuss:
- Why commercial spaceflight changes everything
- The ethics of researching sex in space
- Artificial gravity and designing habitats for intimacy
- Long-distance relationships between Earth, the Moon, and Mars
- Neural interfaces, haptic technology, and the future of intimacy
- Why journalists and filmmakers will shape how the public views sex in space
- How disability, accessibility, and space design intersect
From rotating space habitats to OnlyFans in orbit, this conversation explores what happens when humanity begins living beyond Earth and why telling those stories responsibly matters.
Because someday, sex in space won't be a headline.
It'll just be life.
