034 - Perfect Peace

Chaos is all around us, our lives are messy and cluttered, and stress sometimes overwhelms us. The Bible, however, says that in Christ we can have peace that passes all understanding? What does that mean? How can we find that peace that is overwhelming and all consuming? More than that, how can we possibly live in that kind of peace with the chaos of life around us? The key may just be to understand that the perfect place to be is in His will and there we can find peace. We talk about it this week on That Pentecostal Podcast. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thatpentecostalpodcast/message

033 - Finding Joy

We all have days where we are feeling down about our situation, our jobs, or whatever else it is that has us stressed out. But when we look to the Bible, we see an example of two men who had no reason to celebrate, no reason to have joy and yet they found joy and the strength to worship God even in a filthy cell after being wrongfully accused and beaten. Do we have the same joy as Paul and Silas? We talk about it today on That Pentecostal Podcast. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thatpentecostalpodcast/message

032 - Love Hurts

Love is many things and many have described what it feels like to be in love. While love is wonderful, it is joyous and is the greatest thing we can feel, true love is not what we often think. True love is sacrificial. It is giving. It is about caring for other people selflessly. True love will hurt because true love puts others above ourselves and that is what we are talking about this week on That Pentecostal Podcast. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thatpentecostalpodcast/message

031 - Fantasy Faith: Moving from Spectator to Participant

Its football season! With that comes fantasy football and we are ready for that... But what if we treated church like we did fantasy football? What would that mean? Could we just sit back and root on the ones doing the work and still be victorious... Or does living for Jesus require a little bit more action? 030 - The Value of Your Soul

What is it exactly that makes a Topps 1952 Mickey Mantle rookie card worth $12 million? Well, that's how much someone is willing to pay for it. So how much is a soul worth? Specifically how much is your soul worth? Today we talk about just that and we consider exactly how much it was that God was willing to pay for us. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thatpentecostalpodcast/message

028 - The Cross Needs No Filter

We live in a world where we have a constant connection to a version of reality that is, well, not real. People post on social media photos and videos of their life and everyone has access to tools that give them the power to edit the dirt and the hurt and the struggle of life out. God didn't create us this way. He created us to trust in Him and He shows us this in His response to our sin that has put the world in the place that it is in. His response was never filtered, it was never sanitized. It was often bloody and consistently showed brokenness. But in that brokenness, in those hurts, in the truth of what Jesus did for us on the cross we find peace, love, joy, and an eternity in paradise with Him. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thatpentecostalpodcast/message

027 - Because He Said So

So often in life, whether a child with a parent, a student with a teacher, an employee with an employer, or us with God even, we want to know why we are told no. The problem is that sometimes, we don't need to know. Sometimes its best that we don't know. Sometimes, its our job to obey and trust in someone who is looking out for our best interest. We love His law because He loves us. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thatpentecostalpodcast/message

026 - Walking in the Known

Do we live our lives accepting what God has said and know it to be true? Or do we continue going back and asking for confirmation in 3 different ways? This week we talk about how we can rest in His Word and trust that it can get is through anything. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thatpentecostalpodcast/message

025 - The Sale of All Eternity

We've all had someone try to sell us a product that they truly believe in, but have we ever stopped to consider that we've been commissioned to tell people about something that will change their life for the better? So why do sometimes feel so awkward, or even ashamed, to tell people about what Jesus has done for us and can do for them? Let us realize that God has called us to tell every person about His love for us like its the greatest sale that has ever happened... Why? Because He already paid the price. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thatpentecostalpodcast/message

024 - Chasing Peace

There is nothing in life quite like being a child. The carefree days of playgrounds and playing Tag! Today we reminisce a little about this childhood game and then consider when the writer of Hebrews tells us to pursue peace and holiness. What does it mean to pursue peace? What does it mean to pursue holiness? How are these two pursuits able to exist in the same person? All of that this more on this week's devotion from That Pentecostal Podcast! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thatpentecostalpodcast/message
