In this engaging episode, we explore San Diego's innovative approach to wildfire prevention at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, where nearly 500 goats are being deployed to clear dry brush and create natural firebreaks. This unique initiative marks a first for U.S. military installations, aiming to reduce wildfire risks while protecting sensitive habitats. Meanwhile, the San Diego Padres are making a strong push for the Wild Card, fresh off a sweep in Denver and gearing up for a home series against the Miami Marlins at Petco Park. With key players like Bogaerts and Ethan Salas in top form, the Padres are just a game and a half behind the Cubs for the top seed.
We also provide the latest San Diego weather forecast, with mostly sunny conditions expected through the weekend, and discuss the local sports scene, including updates on the Chargers, San Diego FC, and the Aztecs. Nationally, we cover the Buffalo Bills' recent victory and the discovery of a new feline species in Bolivia. Don't miss insights into the financial world with the SEC's approval of tokenized stocks and the latest tech developments from Apple.
