Entry 2 | Preliminary Field Work

This episode was recorded before my trip to Ecuador. I interviewed several band members of Ñukanchik Kawsay and some of my thoughts and feelings around spirituality, the commodification of culture, and overall knowledge.
This episode dives into my first interview with Pachi Muruchu, a NY/NJ-based artist whose contributions to the Kañari community within the fine arts world have impacted others outside the community. These entries are mostly for me, but I wish to share them with others who wish to learn more about Kañari history while honoring our past so we may build a better future.
In this entry, I share my journey with learning Kichwa, a bit of politics, dropping the first interview and some of my upcoming community-building projects.
