Thanksgiving at the Roy penthouse brings Logan's estranged brother Ewan down from Canada, a dinner table confrontation over World War I medals that becomes a full indictment of Logan's empire, and a memory game that ends with Logan striking his grandson in the face. While the family fractures upstairs, Tom has dispatched Greg to shred cruise division documents in an empty office building — and Greg, worried about his own legal exposure, quietly makes copies before destroying the rest. Kendall, counting board votes for a no-confidence motion, catches Ewan at the elevator but loses him; Gerri, having witnessed the dinner collapse firsthand, signals her support on the balcony. The episode closes with Logan alone with Marcia, reciting the memory sequence perfectly.
This episode establishes the no-confidence vote as a live threat with real board support, while also complicating the premise: Logan's failure at the table may say less about his decline than about the pressure of a hostile room. Greg's decision to keep document copies — made with no instruction and no authority — preserves the only surviving record of the cruise cover-up, setting up a liability Tom believes he has already eliminated. Ewan functions as the episode's moral reference point, the one person with both motive and standing to act, who chooses not to.
