Reggie Son: The Journey Home
Welcome to Success SZN
A special edition of Success SZN, recorded live at the 2026 Jim Butler Golf Classic. In this fireside chat, President & CEO Brandon Williams sits down with DeMaurice F. Smith, attorney and former Executive Director of the NFL Players Association, for a conversation that goes well past the game. Smith spent over a decade at the table where football's biggest decisions got made, representing the players who made the league what it is. He talks about the path from the courtroom to the negotiating table, what leadership looks like when the stakes are real, and the discipline it takes to advocate for people when the pressure is on. For anyone building a career in law, sports, business, or anywhere influence and integrity have to coexist, this one carries weight. Rooted in St. Louis and built for anyone chasing what's next. Reggie Son: The Journey Home Some people leave St. Louis and never look back. Reggie Son, formerly known as Shorty Da Prince, did the opposite. In this episode, Brandon Williams and Deneen Busby sit down with the radio personality and BET host to trace the whole run: the early grind, the mic that changed everything, the national stage, and the pull that eventually brought him back to the city that raised him. He gets honest about what the climb actually looked like, what it cost, and why coming home was not a step back but a decision about what matters. For anyone who has ever wondered whether you have to leave to make it, this one is for you. Rooted in St. Louis and built for anyone chasing what's next. Elevate your mindset. Grow your hustle.
