Episode 38: Jonah

Hey everyone! Today on Strong and Courageous we’re diving into one of the wildest Bible stories—Jonah and the big fish! God told Jonah to go to Nineveh and tell the people to stop doing wrong. But Jonah didn’t want to go—so he ran the opposite way! He got on a boat, a storm came, and Jonah was thrown overboard. Then something crazy happened—‘The Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights’ (Jonah 1:17). While inside, Jonah prayed and told God he was sorry. And guess what? God gave him another chance. We all mess up sometimes. Maybe we disobey our parents, say something mean, or don’t do what God asks us to. But the story of Jonah shows us that even when we run away, God still loves us. And He always gives us a second chance to obey Him.

Episode 37: Mary And Martha

Good morning, friends! Welcome back to Strong and Courageous. Today, I want to tell you about two sisters named Mary and Martha. In Luke 10, Jesus went to their house. Martha was super busy cooking, cleaning, and getting everything ready. But Mary sat at Jesus’ feet, listening to Him. Martha got frustrated and asked Jesus to tell Mary to help. But Jesus said, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.’ Sometimes we can get so busy—school, sports, homework, even fun stuff like video games or hanging out with friends. But Jesus reminds us the most important thing is spending time with Him—praying, reading His Word, and just being still. Like Mary, we need to stop and listen to Jesus.

Episode 36: God Is Listening

Welcome back to Strong and Courageous! We all go through seasons when we pray for something but you feel like God is not listening, like you are praying but nothing happens. I want to encourage you today in 1 John 5:14 says that we can be confident that He will listen to us when we ask for anything that's align to His will, maybe you don't see the results but that doesn't mean He's not listening, He's just preparing something better for you, because He does hear you and He sees you. Today take this as a confirmation that God is constantly listening to your prayers and He sees you always.

Jesus is saying that you are not along when people makes fun of you, they make fun of Jesus too, so if you ever find your self into that situation don't worry about it, don't stop shinning your light for Jesus because your reward is in heaven.

Episode 34: Peter Walks On Water

Good morning, friends! It’s time for another story on Strong and Courageous. One night, Jesus’ disciples were in a boat on the lake when they saw Jesus walking on the water. At first, they were scared, but Jesus said, 'Don’t be afraid—it’s me!' Peter called out, 'Lord, if it’s you, let me come to you on the water.' Jesus said, 'Come!' Peter stepped out of the boat and actually walked on water toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind and waves, he got scared and began to sink. Jesus reached out His hand and saved him. Here’s what we can learn: When we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can do amazing things. But when we focus on our problems, we start to sink. Here’s your challenge: If you feel worried today, stop and pray, 'Jesus, help me keep my eyes on You.' This isStrong and Courageous. Keep your focus on Jesus.

Episode 33: The Woman At The Well

Welcome back to Strong and Courageous! Today’s story is about a woman Jesus met at a well. She was there to get water, but Jesus told her something surprising. He said, 'Whoever drinks the water I give will never be thirsty again.' Jesus wasn’t talking about regular water. He meant that only He can satisfy the deepest needs of our hearts. Here’s what we can learn: We sometimes try to fill our hearts with things like toys, games, or even popularity. Those things don’t last. But Jesus gives us living water—joy, hope, and eternal life that never run out. Here’s your challenge: When you feel empty or like something is missing, remember to turn to Jesus. Episode 32: Joseph Forgives His Brothers

Good morning, friends! Thanks for joining me on Strong and Courageous. Today we’re talking about Joseph. His brothers were jealous of him, so they sold him as a slave. Joseph went through years of hard times—but God never left him. Later, Joseph became a powerful leader in Egypt, and his brothers came to him for food during a famine. Joseph could have gotten revenge, but instead he forgave them. He said, 'You meant evil against me, but God used it for good.' Here’s what we can learn: Forgiveness isn’t easy, but when we forgive, we show God’s love. Joseph’s forgiveness brought healing instead of hurt. Here’s your challenge: If someone bothers you or hurts your feelings today, instead of holding a grudge, choose forgiveness. This isStrong and Courageous. Like Joseph, let God turn bad things into good.

Episode 31: Daniel In The Lion's Den

Welcome back, friends! Today on Strong and Courageous, we’re looking at the story of Daniel. Daniel loved God, and he prayed every single day. Some people didn’t like that, so they tricked the king into making a law that no one could pray to anyone except the king. Daniel had a choice—stop praying, or keep honoring God. Daniel chose to pray. Because of that, he was thrown into a den filled with hungry lions. Sounds scary, right? But God sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths. Daniel came out unharmed, and everyone knew that God was real. Here’s what we can learn: Following God isn’t always easy. Sometimes it means standing out or making choices that others don’t understand. But God honors faithfulness, and He is always with us—even in the scariest places. Here’s your challenge: Be faithful today. Pray. Make good choices. Trust God even if it’s not the popular thing to do. This isStrong and Courageous. Like Daniel, keep standing strong in your faith.

Episode 30: Zacchaeus In The Tree

Good morning, friends! Let’s dive into another story on Strong and Courageous. There was a man named Zacchaeus. He wasn’t very tall, and when Jesus came to town, Zacchaeus couldn’t see over the crowd. So what did he do? He climbed up a tree to get a better look. When Jesus walked by, He looked up and said, 'Zacchaeus, come down. I’m going to your house today!' Everyone else thought Zacchaeus was a bad guy because he had been dishonest with money. But Jesus loved him anyway. That day, Zacchaeus’ life was changed forever. Here’s what we can learn: Sometimes people might look down on us or think we’re not good enough. But Jesus sees us, knows our name, and wants to be with us. Here’s your challenge: Remember today that Jesus loves you no matter what. And like Zacchaeus, when Jesus changes your heart, show it by living differently—be kind, be honest, and be generous. This isStrong and Courageous. Jesus sees you, and He calls you by name.

Episode 29: Elijah And The Whispher

Hello again, friends! Thanks for joining me on Strong and Courageous. Today’s story is about the prophet Elijah. Elijah was having a really hard time. He had been brave for God, but now he was tired, scared, and hiding in a cave. He wanted to hear from God. Then something amazing happened. First, there was a powerful wind. But God wasn’t in the wind. Then there was a big earthquake. But God wasn’t in the earthquake. Then came a fire. But God wasn’t in the fire either. Finally, Elijah heard a gentle whisper—and that’s where God spoke. Here’s what we can learn: Sometimes we expect God to speak in big, loud, exciting ways. But often, He speaks quietly to our hearts when we slow down and listen. Here’s your challenge: Find a quiet moment today—maybe before school or before bed. Turn off the noise, sit still, and just listen. You might not hear a whisper with your ears, but you can listen with your heart and remember God is with you. This isStrong and Courageous. Take time to listen for God’s whisper today.
