Settlement basics: filed Sept. 17, 2026 by NY AG plus 39 other states and DC, covering about $634M in debt forgiveness plus $60M restitution. Qualifying loans started Nov. 1, 2015 to Nov. 30, 2025, were still open Dec. 1, 2025, and CAC must ask the bureaus to delete them.
