Episode notes
Season 2 is focusing more on film comparisons, so what better to start with than The Five Obstructions! And no, we don't expect you to know anything about this Danish Documentary where Lars Von Trier tries to hurt his favorite filmmaker by forcing him to repeatedly remake his 60s art film. What makes a documentary special? What is Dogma 95, and is it horseshit? Does anyone call Lars von Trier Daddy? What is Season 2 you ask? Come along with us for that journey, which will likely take the whole season to figure out.
In the meantime, The Five Obstructions can be streamed on Kanopy.
