4. The Detailed Interpretation — 7:23-27

a. The 4th beast will devour the whole world and crush it (v23)

b. Ten kings will come out of this kingdom, antichrist will rise

c. The horn will be against God and the saints for 1260 days

d. But he will be taken away and annihilated and destroyed

e. The everlasting kingdom will be given to the saints (v27)

f. Daniel was alarmed but kept the visions to himself (v28)

C. The Fourth Empire

1. Goes through 5 stages

a. United Stage: Rome began ruling Israel in 63 B.C -A.D. 364

b. Divided Stage: East / West AD 364- current

c. One World Government Stage: Future (before Tribulation?)

d. 10 Division Stage:7 remaining kings submit to the little horn

e. Anti-Christ stage: lasts 3.5 years
