The Status of the Mosaic Covenant

The Mosaic Covenant was the one Jewish covenant that was conditional and ultimately came to an end with the death of Christ. Therefore, the Mosaic Law is no longer in effect. The status of the Mosaic Covenant will be discussed on seven points.

1. The Unity or Wholeness of the Law of Moses (James 2:10).

2. The Law Has Been Rendered Inoperative.

a. The believer has been relieved from the Law. Romans 7:5,6

b. Christ is the end of the Law. Romans 10:4

c. The Law was not meant to be permanent, but temporary. Galatians 3:19

d. The Law was the middle wall of partition that was now broken down. Eph 2:14-15
