The gang continues to sharpen their understanding of the Gospel according to Matthew. We discuss the parable of the wheat and weeds and Jesus' explanation of it, the death of John the Baptist, and Jesus being rejected in his hometown and how a lack of faith might be why many don't see miracles today. The sound was also attacked by a serial pen clicker. Sorry. We're back from Christmas break! It's 2024 now. Wow. This week we talk a lot about faith. The woman's healing was by faith, a daughter was resurrected by faith, and we've seen it a lot before and will see more of it later. We also meet the author of this particular Gospel. So come journey along with us through more of the Gospel According to Matthew as we discuss what faith looks like and why there is an action to faith and why it isn't just simply acknowledging a fact or truth. And hopefully we can all sharpen our minds and blades even further together. Spirit Katana is a Hunterfield Institute production. You can find us on Spotify, Amazon, Apple, and we're also at Hunterfield Institute on Youtube. So like, subscribe, rate, and review. Feel free to encourage us along and if you want to get in touch with us and help us sharpen our understanding of God's word, feel free to email us at hunterfieldmanor@gmail.com. Thank you.
As we continue trekking through Matthew, Rosella, Jade Fire, and The Old Man had extra homework in order to catch up to where Ruby is in this particular Gospel. Spirit Katana is a Hunterfield Institute Production and can be found on Spotify and Apple as well as Hunterfield Institute's Youtube channel. Also, if you want to get in touch with us, feel free to email us at hunterfieldmanor@gmail.com and mention Spirit Katana in the subject. We welcome correction and civilized discussion. It is likely we will make mistakes and a defect in a blade can cause it to shatter so we want to keep that from happening as we all try to follow Jeus.
It's a new season of Spirit Katana and we introduce a new member to the discussion this week: Rosella! Another change coming this season is we are starting off with the Gospel of Matthew and going heading by heading instead of whole chapters. We use different Bibles so are headings will differ from one another and also, probably, you listeners. It will be an interesting experiment to see how the different breakdowns might bring us to focus on different concepts of who God is and what He is doing and, ultimately, it will hopefully make our blades sharper.
