350 game AFL umpire Shaun Ryan joins Brian and Scott to chat about how he become one of the AFL's most successful umpires. Shaun officiated in 8 AFL grand finals including the 2010 drawn grand final between Collingwood and St Kilda.
Shaun talks about he went from umpiring in order to be paid to keep fit, to becoming one of the AFL's most capped and respected umpires.
He also chats about how he was awarded "Tool of the Week" once by Dave Hughes, what is like to blow the whistle on a drawn AFL Grand Final, and how he balances the high demands of performing at the highest level, with a career as a barrister, and being available for his young family.
