Eowyn was Robbed - but NOT by Aragorn (Peter Jackson did it!)

During the Siblings annual rewatch of the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition, Lorelei noticed how Eowyn's damaged warrior princess story had become the blueprint for every sword and sorcery boss babe in the last two decades. But according to her, Peter Jackson left out the most important part of Eowyn's story, at least from the version released in the theatre. Space Deviant puts forth his argument on how it was Arwen character arch that sidelined Eowyn. Watch as the siblings discuss Faramir, familial duty and feminism in this Lord of the Rings review. https://linktr.ee/SouthernFriedCinemaSiblings Social Media Spotify open.spotify.com/show/2EJjXfVQ9nHa3lLMWh3Hu4 Instagram SOUTHERNFRIEDCINEMASIBLINGS https://www.instagram.com/southernfriedcinemasiblings TikTok @sf.cinema.siblings https://www.tiktok.com/@sf.cinema.siblings?_t=ZT-8umimVRpiog&_r=1 Etsy Shop Cinema Siblings https://cinemasiblings.etsy.com Shopify https://tu1n11-5t.myshopify.com Art Title No Reds in the Shire Heavy Cotton T-Shirt https://www.etsy.com/listing/4535086188/no-reds-in-the-shire-heavy-cotton-tee https://tu1n11-5t.myshopify.com/products/no-reds-in-the-shire-heavy-cotton-tee-cinema-siblings-eowyn-was-robbed-but-not-by-aragorn?_pos=7&_sid=c75ef8929&_ss=r Coffee Mug https://www.etsy.com/listing/4535087832/no-reds-in-the-shire-coffee-mug-11-15oz Stickers https://www.etsy.com/listing/4535088104/no-reds-in-the-shire-cinema-siblings https://tu1n11-5t.myshopify.com/products/no-reds-in-the-shire-cinema-siblings-stickers-multiple-sizes-eowyn-was-robbed-but-not-by-aragorn?_pos=2&_sid=68bb80ad0&_ss=r

The Abandons: The Worst Western Ever Made or Tale About A Time Traveling Wizard?

Lorelei and Space Deviant review the Netflix Western drama created by Kurt Sutter. Filled with filler, hollow girlbosses, emasculated men, and enough historical snafus for the these Southern Fried Cinema Siblings to suspect that there is actually a hidden story within this pathetic excuse for a Western. ....it's secretly about the far more interesting side character, Miles Alderton - played by the talented Ryan Hurst, who is a time traveling wizard sent to prevent the take over of silver seeking terminators with his futuristic weaponry in this sci-fi fantasy epic. Sadly, this is not the case, but it would've been a far better story than the slop we were served. https://linktr.ee/SouthernFriedCinemaSiblings Social Media Spotify open.spotify.com/show/2EJjXfVQ9nHa3lLMWh3Hu4 Instagram SOUTHERNFRIEDCINEMASIBLINGS https://www.instagram.com/southernfriedcinemasiblings TikTok @sf.cinema.siblings https://www.tiktok.com/@sf.cinema.siblings?_t=ZT-8umimVRpiog&_r=1 Etsy Shop Cinema Siblings https://cinemasiblings.etsy.com Shopify https://tu1n11-5t.myshopify.com Art Title Time Traveling Wizard

Soldier (1998) - The Space Western with Too Much Nuance for Hippies or Warhawks?

Lorelei goes further down the David Peoples writing rabbit hole and introduces her brother Soldier, a movie set in the Blade Runner universe. Space Deviant appreciates both Blade Runner and a classic hero's story and they both marvel at how well the movie had aged compared with it's CGI laden counterparts. https://linktr.ee/SouthernFriedCinemaSiblings Social Media Spotify open.spotify.com/show/2EJjXfVQ9nHa3lLMWh3Hu4 Instagram SOUTHERNFRIEDCINEMASIBLINGS https://www.instagram.com/southernfriedcinemasiblings TikTok @sf.cinema.siblings https://www.tiktok.com/@sf.cinema.siblings?_t=ZT-8umimVRpiog&_r=1 Etsy Shop Cinema Siblings https://cinemasiblings.etsy.com Shopify https://tu1n11-5t.myshopify.com Art Title Trinity Moons Valley Vacations

The Gay Gaze - How Hollywood Lost Touch with Audience Values

Lorelei lets loose with her theory: The Female Gaze, is in reality - The Gay Gaze. Space Deviant shares her annoyance with too much D on TV and longs for the days of 1980's T&A. The question remains, who is this kind of content serving? and why? A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Why Dunk & Egg Work

The Siblings review George R.R. Martin's HBO epic, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Surprising in that unlike much of modern day content, this story doesn't portray all men as inherently evil. Lorelei lingers on the different darling menfolk of Westeros while Space Deviant lets it be known that a mere three hours, is hardly a proper series. https://linktr.ee/SouthernFriedCinemaSiblings Social Media Spotify open.spotify.com/show/2EJjXfVQ9nHa3lLMWh3Hu4 Instagram SOUTHERNFRIEDCINEMASIBLINGS https://www.instagram.com/southernfriedcinemasiblings TikTok @sf.cinema.siblings https://www.tiktok.com/@sf.cinema.siblings?_t=ZT-8umimVRpiog&_r=1 Etsy Shop Cinema Siblings https://cinemasiblings.etsy.com Shopify https://tu1n11-5t.myshopify.com Art What Bedsheets?
