Good afternoon. South Carolina. I'm Michael Mosby.
That fog you're squinting through right now? It's not going anywhere until mid-morning. Dense patches rolled in overnight across the Upstate and Midlands, cutting visibility to a quarter mile in spots. If you're driving before 10 A.M., ease off the gas and flip those headlights on. Once the sun climbs higher, it burns off fast.
Then we flip the script entirely. The Midlands hit 82 degrees this afternoon — that's 38 degrees warmer than usual for early March. The Upstate reaches 78, while the Lowcountry tops out at 73 thanks to a sea breeze keeping the coast honest. Mostly sunny skies statewide, with light westerly winds. Perfect weather for a lunchtime walk if you ask me.
