Good afternoon. South Carolina. I'm Matt Mullins. Step outside right now and you're basking in 75 degrees. But. Storms are already rolling through. And we're about to get even warmer before things change. Up in the Upstate, showers and thunderstorms started this morning. Columbia and the Midlands? Scattered storms fire up around 2 P.M. Down along the coast, you've got sunshine until late afternoon, then storms roll in after 5 P.M. Temperature-wise. Columbia hits 78 degrees — the warmest spot today. The Upstate and Lowcountry both reach 74. Southwest winds gust to 21 miles an hour in the Upstate, breezy elsewhere at 10 to 12. Tonight, those storms linger through the evening. The coast sees the heaviest action around 10 P.M. With thunderstorms dropping a quarter to half inch of rain. Patchy fog develops statewide overnight. Lows drop to 63 in Colum ...
