Episode notes
In this episode, I talk to Dr. Solen Sanli Vasquez, a sociology faculty member at Santa Rosa Junior College, and Daniel Miguel, a student at Santa Rosa Junior College, about their study of ex-Jehovah's Witnesses. Their research investigates the experiences of individuals when they leave the organization through voluntary or involuntary exit. Some ideas and concepts of the study include social death, total institutions, resocialization, mortification of the self, and reprogramming of the self.
For more information on this study, or if you'd like to share your experiences as an ex-Jehovah's Witness, please contact Dr. Vasquez and Daniel Miguel.
