Iran has accelerated deployment of the Abu Madi, a long-range anti-ship cruise missile designed to target large naval vessels. With a range of up to 2600 km and sea-skimming capabilities, the missile poses a potential threat to US aircraft carriers, challenging their positioning and defence strategies. While the effectiveness of the missile remains to be seen, Iran’s investment in long-range precision strike capabilities is significant.
